The island Kota Kinabalu is located on the third largest island in the world, known as Borneo. With its tropical climate, Borneo is generally ideal for visit yearlong however it is recommended between the months of April to September where it is considered a dry season with sunny days and humid throughout the day.
Start with organizing your flight or drive trips by determining your arrivals point. For international travelers, we recommend to start with all your visa, passport and identification arrangements as most government agencies recommend a minimum of 6 months passport validity.Â
Some countries (e.g ASEAN countries) do not require visas, while other countries and even Malaysian states have a maximum of 90 days visit pass. This is important for voluntary or research programs. For more detailed information, please visit your local immigration website.
The nearest airport is the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and for international travelers the connecting airport is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. There are scheduled boat transfers daily, all bookings will be communicated in advance.Â
Choose a private transfer arranged by us in advance, to the Apai Jetty (ex Beringgis Seafood Restaurant), or request for ride hailing services such as Taxi, Grab or MyCar. Pin your requested location to Beringgis Seafood Restaurant (Apai Jetty), and upon arrival our dedicated staff assistance will welcome you at the jetty for the boat ride. The boat ride will take approximately 20 minutes to the island.
